What You Will Be Doing
As part of the learnership, participants will gain hands-on exposure while completing structured learning activities aligned to FAIS requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating fully in workplace activities linked to your development objectives
- Attending and engaging in all required training and development interventions
- Applying learning through day-to-day operational and client-support tasks
- Following standard operating procedures to ensure compliance and quality
- Providing customer support and assisting with service delivery
- Completing all required administrative, tracking, and reporting tasks

FAIS Fit and Proper Requirements
This role is subject to FAIS legislation. Successful learners will be required to meet the following during or after the programme:
- FSCA-approved qualification
- Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5)
- Product-specific training once onboarded
- Class of Business training
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
- Ongoing adherence to honesty, integrity, and good standing
Holding an FSCA-approved qualification and/or RE5 will be an added advantage during selection.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Absa Unemployed Learnership 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizen
- Unemployed at the time of application
- Completed a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Law
- Matric (Grade 12) completed
- Willingness to work toward FAIS compliance
