CJC & ETDP SETA Opens 45 Paid Internships for N6 Graduates 2026:18 months of in-service training

The Central Johannesburg TVET College (CJC), in collaboration with the ETDP SETA, has announced a massive opportunity for 45 N6 graduates. This programme provides the essential 18 months of in-service training required for students to transition from an N6 certificate to a full National Diploma.
For many TVET students, the “18-month hurdle” is the hardest part of their journey. This funded internship removes that barrier by providing a structured workplace environment and a consistent monthly income.

🚀 Student Desk Expert Insight: The Path to Your National Diploma
Completing your N6 is only 50% of the journey. In the South African NATED system, the workplace is your final “classroom.” Here is how this internship secures your future:
- Certificate vs. Academic Record: This is the #1 reason for rejection. CJC will not accept an academic record or a statement of results. You must have the actual N4, N5, and N6 certificates issued by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
- The “First-Timer” Rule: This funding is strictly for those who have never participated in an internship before. This ensures the SETA reaches new graduates who are currently stuck.
- Workplace Logbook: During these 18 months, you will be required to complete a logbook. This document is what the DHET uses to verify that you have gained the necessary practical skills to be called a “Diplomate.”
