The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC) has officially opened applications for its Internships Programme for 2026–2028, offering graduates the opportunity to gain structured workplace experience within a national government department.

This is a 24-month internship programme aimed at unemployed graduates who have completed a three-year degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in relevant fields. All internship placements are based at the Department’s offices and entities, with successful candidates receiving a monthly stipend for the full duration of the programme.

The internship programme forms part of the Department’s broader commitment to skills development, youth empowerment, and professional exposure within the public service.

How the DSAC E-Recruitment System Works

All applications must be submitted through the DSAC e-Recruitment System.

Applicants are required to first create a user profile by completing all personal information and setting up login credentials. Once registered, applicants will be directed to the Welcome Page, where all available internship opportunities can be viewed and selected.

The Z83 form has been fully integrated into the system, and applications cannot be processed unless all mandatory Z83 fields are completed electronically. Supporting documents and copies of qualifications are not required at the initial application stage and will only be requested from shortlisted candidates.

Applicants without access to internet or computer facilities may contact the Department’s enquiries personnel before the closing date to arrange assisted access at departmental offices. The e-Recruitment system is also accessible via smartphones and other mobile devices.

Correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only.
