Unilever is currently recruiting for a SHE Intern to be based at its Anderbolt Factory in Boksburg, Gauteng. This full-time, on-site internship provides graduates with practical exposure to Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) systems within a global manufacturing environment.

Purpose of the Internship
The purpose of the SHE Internship is to support the site SHE Coordinator in implementing and maintaining systems that reduce occupational health, safety, and environmental risks.
Interns work under the direct supervision of experienced SHE professionals, including the SHE Coordinator, SHE Lead, or SHE Manager, and are exposed to practical SHE operations aligned with Unilever policies, standards, and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The successful intern will assist with the following responsibilities:
Assisting with the updating and maintenance of SHE procedures
Supporting the review and execution of risk assessments, including aspects and impacts
Assisting with incident investigations and follow-up actions
Communicating SHE procedure changes through meetings, notice boards, and onsite communication platforms
Supporting the planning and coordination of safety training sessions
Collecting, collating, and reporting SHE statistics and performance results
Working with coordinators to support audit plans and corrective action implementation
Maintaining action trackers to drive SHE plans and initiatives
Selecting and managing two SHE-related projects to develop skills and improve site SHE performance
Conducting contractor SHE inductions
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Completed qualification in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Management, or Science
Diploma in Risk Management or a related field
Preferred Qualification
An advanced degree in Environmental Sustainability will be an added advantage.
