Vergenoeg Mining Company (Minersa Group) has officially opened applications for its 2026 External Internship and Learnership Programmes. These initiatives are designed to bridge the skills gap by providing unemployed youth and graduates with 24 months of high-quality workplace experience in the mining sector.

Located near Rust De Winter (Limpopo/Gauteng border), Vergenoeg is one of the world’s largest fluorspar mines, offering a unique environment for technical career growth.

1. External Internship Programme (24 Months)

This programme is aimed at unemployed Graduates who have completed their tertiary studies and need practical experience to become professionally competitive.

Available Internship Disciplines

Internship Requirements:

• Appropriate 3-year Degree or National Diploma in the relevant discipline.
• Must be a graduate who has never participated in an internship programme before.
• Transport & Accommodation: Candidates must have their own transport and housing.

2. External Learnership Programme

The learnership intake is focused on developing Artisan and Technical skills through a combination of theory and on-site practical training.

Available Learnership Disciplines

Learnership Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science.
• Must have never participated in a learnership programme before.
