About the Clover YES Learner Programme
This learnership focuses on practical exposure in merchandising and sales execution. Participants will work in Clover branches including Clayville, CDC Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, and Queensburgh, gaining essential skills in stock management, customer engagement, and retail operations.

Who Can Apply
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4 qualification
- Fluent in Business English
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- South African youth currently unemployed

Responsibilities of a Clover Merchandiser
Merchandisers will be actively involved in daily sales operations and stock management, including:
- Controlling and ordering stock in-store and back-up areas
- Minimizing and documenting returns according to the store plan
- Preventing out-of-stock situations and reporting incidents to Area Managers
- Ensuring products are clean, neat, and properly displayed
- Maintaining crates, equipment, and fridges according to company standards
- Applying correct shelf control using store plans and merchandising rules
- Installing and maintaining point-of-sale materials
- Maintaining administrative records and product labeling
- Building and sustaining strong relationships with store management, customers, and colleagues
- Maximizing product presence and visibility in-store
